Cognitive decline and brain dysfunction are becoming increasingly prevalent in today’s society. In fact, the average age of someone living with dementia isn’t somewhere in the 60’s, 70’s, or 80’s… It’s 49.

And it’s essential to understand that symptoms don’t just appear overnight. First, some of the body’s millions of biological mechanisms must become dysfunctional. If not correct, over a period of years to decades that dysfunction becomes so taxing on the body that it can’t compensate for it anymore. Only then do symptoms appear.

So what are some of the early symptoms of cognitive decline and brain dysfunction?

These early warning signs can include:

  • “Brain fog” (feeling like you are living in a perpetual state of fogginess)
  • Gradually decreasing clarity and thinking speed
  • Increasing facial “blindness” (not being able to recognize people you should know)
  • Afternoon fatigue
  • Anxiety about schedules and appointments (and sometimes missing them)
  • Loss of the ability to prioritize
  • A gradual decrease in vocabulary
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Increasing anxiety about and challenges with decision-making
  • Forgetting recent conversations or who you just had lunch with
  • Difficulty finding the right words
  • Slip-ups with language
  • A gradual loss of interest in reading, movies, complex conversations, or other things you once loved
  • Forgetting why you entered a particular room
  • Anxiety about driving and difficulty navigating
  • Difficulty remembering to-dos
  • A loss of foreign language and musical skills
  • Sleep disruption
  • And more

It is not normal to experience cognitive decline as we age. If you are experiencing any of the above or something similar, your biology has been screaming for help for years, even decades. It’s time to take your brain seriously or you may be facing a future where you can’t recognize your loved ones and you spend thousands of dollars on memory care as you slowly fade away.

Harsh? Good.

There are more than 36 different underlying causes of cognitive decline and brain dysfunction. Poor diet, lack of exercise, chronic stress, sleep deprivation, exposure to toxins, and inflammation are just a few examples. These factors can lead to a decrease in the production of new brain cells, impaired communication between brain cells, and even brain shrinkage.

One of the critical factors in preventing and reversing cognitive decline is the concept of neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity refers to the brain’s ability to adapt and change over time. By adopting a brain-healthy lifestyle, we can promote neuroplasticity and protect our cognitive abilities.

One of the most effective methods for preventing and reversing cognitive decline is through a program called the Bredesen Protocol. The Bredesen Protocol is a comprehensive approach that addresses the underlying causes of cognitive decline and brain dysfunction. The program includes personalized nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, sleep optimization, and brain training exercises.

The Bredesen Protocol is based on the concept of functional medicine, which addresses the root cause of disease rather than treating the symptoms. The program takes a personalized approach, taking into account an individual’s unique genetic makeup, health history, and lifestyle factors. By identifying the underlying causes of cognitive decline, the program can develop a personalized plan to address these factors and promote neuroplasticity.

This is the exact protocol I use to help people just like you both prevent and reverse existing cognitive decline.

Can every case be reversed? Not yet. Dr. Bredesen and his team are still working hard to figure out what we’re missing. However, thanks to their research thus far, we have the first survivors of Alzheimer’s – the first real hope that we have against cognitive decline.

This is real, and it’s happening now.

Don’t wait until it’s too late.

Take action today and start prioritizing your brain, so you can use and enjoy it for years to come.
