I don’t know about you, but every time I turn around I feel like there’s a new small kitchen appliance that everyone just has to have to make the latest and greatest food stuffs. Not only do I not want to spend all kinds of money on every new small kitchen appliance out there, I definitely don’t have the space to store them all.
I’ve done a lot of research and purchased a few small kitchen appliances over the past couple of years. Today I’m going to share with you which of those kitchen appliances are actually worth the money when it comes to quality and utility in the kitchen.
1. KitchenAid Stand Mixer
The KitchenAid Stand Mixer is probably the single small kitchen appliance that has managed to pay for itself in less than a year just by saving me time and effort. What I love most about it is it’s basically serving as my assistant in the kitchen whether it’s mixing meatballs, whipping egg whites, or just making a delicious dessert (hello date night).
As an added bonus, this stand mixer has about a bajillion attachments available, one of which made #2 on this list, making the mixer even more valuable to me.
I do recommend investing in a well-established brand for this type of small kitchen appliance though, simply because of how often it will be used in your kitchen. You don’t want to skimp and have to replace it in a year.
We cook for a week at a time at my house, so we got the 5 quart mixer and it’s been perfect for us.
So if you’re looking for an all-purpose little kitchen helper, I highly encourage you to look at the KitchenAid Stand Mixer.

2. Food grinder attachment
This is hands-down my favorite attachment for the KitchenAid Stand Mixer. We use it mostly to grind meat, but you can grind pretty much any food with this guy.
With the price of meat on the rise and our love of using ground meat, we have found that grinding our own meat saves us on average $40 per month (that’s $480 a year)! Not to mention we get to choose what cuts of meat go into our ground meat, and we don’t add any fillers to make it look pretty.
If you are health or money-conscious at any level, I highly recommend considering an investment in this food grinder.

3. Blender (Ninja & Vitamin)
I personally believe everyone needs a good blender in their lives. Whether you’re making margs, smoothies, sauces, or simply using it as a food processor, the blender is one of the most versatile small kitchen appliances ever invented. We use ours every week without fail.
Just like a stand mixer, you’ll want to invest in an established high-quality brand for this one because the ones you can get from Walmart (insert disclaimer that I do shop at Walmart and love it) just don’t last very long.
My husband and I love our Ninja Foodi Cold & Hot Blender. I love this particular blender because the container is glass (not plastic), and I can make sauces directly in it (since it has a heating element) and not have to dirty up another pan when I’ll need to blend the ingredients anyway.
So if you’re looking for a good blender to invest in, I’d highly recommend looking at the Ninja Foodi Cold & Hot Blender.

4. Air Fryer
The air fryer has gotten so popular in the last few years, and rightfully so! This small kitchen appliance has the ability to get your food crispy like it’s been fried without the added unhealthy oils that foods are typically fried in. It’s healthier and still tastes just as good.
I love to use mine to air fry veggies, meat, fish, and even make grain-free bagels!
After doing extensive research, my husband and I decided on the Ninja Foodi 11-in-1 Pressure Cooker + Air Fryer. We have not been disappointed.
We use the air fryer setting extensively, like I mentioned above, but also love using the dehydrator, pressure cooker, and yogurt making features as well. This one appliance has saved us I don’t even know how much money in dehydrated meat, fruits, and veggies, as well as allowing us to keep pesky additives out of our food and bodies.
So if you’ve been contemplating getting an air fryer, I encourage you to go for it! I also encourage you to consider a more versatile option like the Ninja Foodi 11-in-1 Pressure Cooker + Air Fryer to save more time and money in the long run.

5. Slow cooker
You may know the slow cooker as a “crock pot.” In fact, Crock Pot is the original maker of the slow cooker, but it’s technically just a brand. However, it’s my preferred brand to use because, as the creator, they have that established quality factor I’ve been talking about this whole post.
If you don’t already own a slow cooker, you may be wondering why you would want to invest in one of these.
The slow cooker is the busy person’s best friend. You can dump all your ingredients in the slow cooker and let it be for anywhere from 3 to 10 hours depending on the recipe.
That means you have all that time to do other things! Then you come back to the slow cooker and the food is done.
It’s probably the easiest and least hands-on method of cooking food.
I cook soups, stews, meats, dips, casseroles, broths, and more in mine and I know you can too.
So if you’re in the market for a slow cooker to help make cooking easy, I highly recommend one from Crock Pot.

Overall, these are the most versatile small kitchen appliances I’ve come across and are well worth investing in a quality product.
