As a ReCODE (Reversing Cognitive Decline) 2.0 Certified Practitioner, I’m excited to go past these statistics and show you what’s possible because…

Alzheimer’s is no longer a death sentence!

Cognitive decline can not only be halted, but reversed.

Dr. Bredesen is an internationally known expert, a pioneer behind the Alzheimer’s prevention and reversal research, and has over 30 years of research on the mechanisms behind Alzheimer’s disease.

He and his clinical research team published a multi-step approach that demonstrated reversal of cognitive decline in 9 out of 10 patients in 2014, published 100 case studies outlining patient improvements in 2018, and even published a pilot study outlining the treatment process in 2022 that showed improvement (not a slow of decline) in 84% of participants.

Is your mind blown yet? Mine was.

As it turns out, Alzheimer’s disease is actually a protective process.

Part of that protective process is making amyloid plaque in response to some threat. However, having too much for too long ends up killing the nerve cells anyway. It’s the perfect example of having too much of a good thing.

Amyloid is produced from a molecule called Amyloid Precursor Protein (APP). APP can be cut in two different ways:

  • At one site to produce two anti-Alzheimer’s fragments
  • At three sites to produce four pro-Alzheimer’s fragments

To reduce the risk for Alzheimer’s and begin to reverse symptoms you may already have, you have to minimize the production of the pro-Alzheimer’s fragments and maximize the anti-Alzheimer’s fragments.

Dr. Bredesen and his team have identified at least 36 different factors that can insult the brain and cause APP to be cut into the pro-Alzheimer’s fragments.

You can think of this as 36 holes in a roof. Fixing just one hole doesn’t really make a difference if it’s raining. This is why no one drug has ever worked. Each drug only addresses one possible root cause out of 36!

Some of these factors include:

  • Diet
  • Body movement
  • Sleep
  • Stress
  • Hormone imbalance
  • Gut health
  • Chronic infections
  • Nutrient deficiencies
  • Toxin levels
  • Inflammation
  • Blood sugar imbalance & insulin sensitivity
  • Cholesterol
  • Autoimmunity
  • Food sensitivities
  • Genetics
  • Other brain supporting nutrients
  • And more

Not everyone has all the holes or even the same combination of holes. This is why preventing and reversing Alzheimer’s has to be a very personalized approach. The goal is to determine what factors are off for you and work to optimize them.
